While Conn would later rebrand the 6D as a student instrument, these older 6Ds are very much professional instruments and stack up very well to the famous 8Ds of that era. Pre-letter horns are considered to be a very desirable vintage and this instrument represents a very high quality of construction.

This is a 400,000-series 6D from before Conn started adding letter prefixes to the serial numbers of their horns.
